Maine Chance Farms has two excellent racing prospects coming to the Cape Racing Ready To Run and Unbroken Two-Year-Old Sale at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Sunday, 22 October.
Yearling Manager Danni Kuttel speaks highly of both and is especially complimentary about Lot 102, Bodacious Secret. He is a chestnut of substance by top stallion Vercingetorix out of Best Kept Secret, a daughter of champion broodmare sire Captain Al. He comes from the prolific Secret Of Victoria family.

Kuttel said: “He is smart, possibly the best-bred horse on the sale. He is a half-brother to Baltic Secret, a winner at two last season and already Graded placed. Best Kept Secret was a R5.25m yearling in 2016, and with Baltic Secret, she’s already shown that she is continuing the breeding legacy of this top family.”
Lot 92 is Power and Profit, a racy first colt foal sired by Querari out of Possibility, a broodmare by Silvano out of Peru. She hails from the immediate family of Pomp and Power, Punta Arenas and Peach Daquiri.

Kuttel commented: “Possibility’s dam, Peru, was one of the first foals born after the Jacobs family purchased Maine Chance Farms. Although unraced, she became one of Maine Chance’s best mares.”
