A Double Bonus Incentive is available to buyers bidding at Cape Racing’s Ready To Run and Unbroken Two-Year-Old Sale at Hollywoodbets Durbanville this Sunday, 22 October. Twenty-three lots at this auction are eligible for double bonuses, presenting potentially quick and profitable investment returns.

Owners who acquire any of the 23 lots will stand a chance of winning R200,000 in additional prize money if their horse/s manage to win as juveniles. This includes the BSA Sales Added Stakes Bonus of R100,000 and then the CRS Juvenile Bonus of R100,000 (made up of R75,000 to the Owner and R25,000 to the Vendor).

There are double bonus candidates in the drafts of eight of the 12 vendors at the sale, including ten from Normandy Stud (also as agent), six from Soetendal (as agent), three from Woodhill and one apiece from Beaumont Stud, Ridgemont, Riethuiskraal and Paarl Diamant (as agent).

The 23 Double Bonus lots are:

  •  Lot 1 – a racy, attractive colt by Fire Away
  • Lot 3 – a Querari filly out of a full-sister to the dam of the top-class Without Question.
  • Lot 4 – a lovely, level-headed filly who takes everything in her stride.
  • Lot 14 – an Erupt colt, well-related and precocious.
  • Lot 15: A beautiful filly by What A Winter, a lovely temperament, stands over the ground.
  • Lot 22 – the only colt on sale by new sensation Danon Platina from a top international family.
  • Lot 24 – a Pomodoro filly noted as a tough, strong filly with good depth of girth.
  • Lot 26 – an athletic, three-part brother to Sergeant Hardy.
  • Lot 34 – a sharp, athletic colt from the family of Rio Querari
  • Lot 38 – a Royal Mo colt out of a winner-producing mare by Captain Al.
  • Lot 39 – an exceptional Erupt colt representing a nick with Philanthropist.
  • Lot 44 – a half-brother to the 2023 Durban July winner, Winchester Mansion.
  • Lot 47 – a classy filly who stands over ground and has a low sprinting action.
  • Lot 48 – a colt who looks similar to his sire, One World. He is a beautiful type who has come on quickly.
  • Lot 54 – a filly out of a prolific mare with an excellent tabulated pedigree.
  • Lot 65 – a very athletic and racy filly from the family of Marinaresco.
  • Lot 66 – a long-striding colt with a great presence.
  • Lot 74 – a good-looking colt, one of just two Gimmethegreenlight progeny on the sale.
  • Lot 76 – a strapping son of Erupt, reported to have been impressive throughout his prep, with good action.
  • Lot 78 – a Trippi colt bought at Nationals, beautiful Trippi quality with everything in the right place.
  • Lot 78a: Bought off the August 2-year-old sale. It is a big, strapping colt with a very nice action.
  • Lot 78b – A nicely balanced filly from the August Two-Year-Old Sale, she has a good action.
  • Lot 83 – a filly with a beautiful top line and strong hind quarters.

The Ready To Run gallops will start at 9 a.m. on Sunday. They will be live-streamed to Gallop TV and the Cape Racing Sales websites. The sale begins at 2 p.m. and will be live-streamed on the same platforms.
