Tebogo Losaba

Tebogo Losaba, born in 1993 in Soweto, is a self-taught photographer specialising in portraiture and street-documentary photography. Losaba honed his skills through online tutorials and studying the works of professional photographers, such Jabulani Dlamini, David Goldblatt, Santu Mofokeng and Ernest Cole.

Before pursuing photography, he studied transport and logistics and recently completed a Level 4 Fine Arts qualification at the Funda Community Centre, where he resides in Diepkloof.

His work has been featured in exhibitions and competitions hosted by Canon, the Standard Bank Gallery, Ekurhuleni Municipality (Thami Mnyele Fine Arts Awards), TAF Paper (Turbine Art Fair), and the Human Sciences Research Council. He has also collaborated with Motheo Mamabolo in the Curator’s Lab and Creative Connect for the Joburg Open Studio.
