Chantal Masinga, born in 2002 is an artist based in Johannesburg, South Africa, who discovered her passion for oil painting at the Lilian Grey Art School, where she developed a love for vibrant colours and textures. She officially entered the art scene in 2022, using emotive and expressive brushwork to explore themes of identity, individuality, healing, and introspection.
In 2023, Chantal participated in the ‘Business of Being An Artist’ course, culminating in a group exhibition, ‘Choice Assorted,’ where she showcased her work to a wider audience and connected with fellow artists in her community.
Her art conveys deep emotion and meaning, inviting viewers to reflect on their own experiences through the language of colour, which she believes carries its own unique significance.
